ADHD & Attention Care

  • Adult ADHD
  • Attention and concentration difficulties
  • Executive function struggles
  • ADHD with co-occurring anxiety or depression

Adult ADHD rarely looks like the stereotype. It looks like being smart but chronically behind. Starting ten things and finishing one. Missing details in work you genuinely care about, losing keys and deadlines and threads of conversation, and quietly building a life full of workarounds — alarms, lists, apologies — that still isn't enough.

Plenty of adults in Mississippi have spent years being called scattered, lazy, or "not living up to potential" when the real story is a brain that regulates attention differently. And because ADHD so often travels with anxiety or depression, it frequently gets missed — or treated as something it isn't.

A careful evaluation sorts this out. We'll look at your history all the way back to childhood, how your attention behaves across different settings, and what else might be contributing — so a diagnosis, if you get one, actually means something.

Recognizing it

What adult ADHD can look like

Patterns that often show up in adults who've never been evaluated:

Procrastinating on important tasks, then sprinting in a last-minute panic

Hyperfocusing on interesting things while urgent ones go untouched

Losing track of objects, time, appointments, and conversations

Restlessness — mental, physical, or both

A long trail of systems and planners that worked for two weeks

Feeling chronically overwhelmed by tasks others seem to handle easily

How treatment works

ADHD care starts with getting the diagnosis right — not handing one out. The evaluation is thorough: your history, your current life, screening for the conditions that mimic or accompany ADHD. If the picture is ADHD, we'll talk through treatment options clearly, including both stimulant and non-stimulant medications, what each does, and what monitoring looks like.

Medication for ADHD can be genuinely life-changing, and it works best paired with structure: routines, externalized memory, and strategies built around how your brain actually operates rather than how it's "supposed" to. We'll work on both.

And because attention problems are sometimes driven by anxiety, depression, sleep, or thyroid issues rather than ADHD, you'll get an honest answer either way. The goal is the right treatment — not just a prescription.
