Anxiety, OCD & Stress Management
- Generalized anxiety
- Panic attacks
- Social anxiety
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Chronic stress and burnout
Everyone worries. But when worry stops being occasional and starts being the background noise of your whole day — when your chest is tight before you've even checked your phone, when sleep won't come because your mind won't stop — that's not a character flaw. It's a treatable condition.
Anxiety shows up differently for everyone. For some people it's physical: a racing heart, restlessness, stomach trouble that doctors can't explain. For others it's mental: spiraling what-ifs, dread without a clear cause, or the intrusive, repetitive thoughts and rituals of OCD. And for a lot of working adults in Mississippi, it hides inside words like "stress" and "burnout" for years before anyone calls it what it is.
Through secure video visits, we'll figure out what's actually driving it — and build a plan to quiet it. Not by pretending the pressure in your life doesn't exist, but by changing how your nervous system and your habits respond to it.
Recognizing it
When it's more than everyday stress
Consider reaching out if several of these have been true for weeks or longer:
Worry that feels impossible to switch off, even when things are fine
Physical symptoms — racing heart, tight chest, restlessness, trouble sleeping
Avoiding situations, places, or conversations because of what might happen
Intrusive thoughts that loop, or rituals you feel compelled to repeat
Irritability or exhaustion from being constantly "on"
Stress that has stopped responding to rest, weekends, or vacations
Working together
How treatment works
There's no single fix for anxiety, which is why the first appointment is mostly listening. Once we understand your version of it — what triggers it, how it shows up in your body, what it's costing you — we'll build a plan together. For some people that's medication to turn the volume down so other tools can work. For others it's coping strategies, lifestyle changes, or a referral to the right kind of therapy alongside our work. Often it's a combination.
OCD in particular is frequently misunderstood and mistreated. If intrusive thoughts and compulsions are part of your picture, we'll talk honestly about the evidence-based options — including medication approaches specific to OCD — and what realistic progress looks like.
Every plan gets revisited. What we start with is a first draft, not a verdict, and follow-up visits are where we tune it until it actually fits your life.
